  • Class Overview

  • Our classroom has three simple rules:

     

    • Be Kind to yourself
    • Be Kind to others
    • Be Kind to the classroom

  • Our program follows the traditional school year, from September to June. TLC is closed for two weeks during the holiday season and one week for March Break. We are also closed for major holidays, as well as three pedagogical days (TBD). For more information, kindly refer to our school calendar.

  • Field Trips

    Every year the children are invited to attend field trips accompanied by a parent. Apple picking and Santa’s Village are favourites!

    Kindness and respect

    We encourage pro-social behaviors through role-playing, direct intervention and positive reinforcement. We use our Kindness Caterpillar to showcase the student’s names and their acts of thoughtfulness. The body of the caterpillar grows with each good deed.

    Preschool skills

    In our preschool class, the children are taught to write numbers, letters and their names. As they progress, they are introduced to letter sounds and rhyming.
